Gerd Tritschler is Regional Vice-President FOR Continental Europe at Marriott Hotels & Resorts
Tritschler has been appointed to this high position at the company following his two-year-long noteworthy performance as sales and marketing director at the Warsaw Marriott Hotel where he led the efforts for boosting sales and for marketing development of the hotel. He worked out successful strategies to achieve better room revenue and optimize the catering budget. In his view, personnel motivation and setting individual as well as team goals are of key importance for the prosperity of a hotel.
Before going to Warsaw Tritschler proved his worth as director of reservation sales at another hotel of the chain, the Munich Marriott Hotel. He has ample experience in other hotel chains in Europe and the rest of the world.
Marriott Hotels & Resorts is the flagship of Marriott International, Inc. which is headquartered in Bethesda, Maryland, US, and has over 146,000 employees. Its portfolio has about 15 brands, including Marriott Hotels & Resorts, Renaissance Hotels & Resorts, the emblematic Ritz-Carlton Company, L.L.C., etc.
The company has 110 hotels in 21 countries in Europe. Most of them are in Germany and France, 27 and 13 hotels respectively. Marriott Hotels & Resorts has hotels in the Balkans, too: five in Turkey and one in Greece. As to the Eastern European countries, it is best represented in Russia where the company operates eight hotels.

Clive Taylor is Vice-President for Operations at the British company EasyRMS, a global leader and provider of the ASP/Internet revenue and yield management solutions company, US.
His experience includes a key position as chief information officer for Extended Stay Hotels (US), which owns 700 budget hotels across the US. Within an 18-month period Clive transitioned all hotels to a new standard technology platform for: WAN/LAN voice and data, PMS (Property Management Software), CRS, CRO and web, Financials and Payroll, HSIA and Centralized Purchasing.
Previously he was director of information technology for the Savoy Group of Hotels, introducing new technology solutions in all departments of the business.
His additional experience includes introducing new technology and the use of computer solutions within the construction industry and the retail industry, and he was also director of his own recording studio.
For almost a decade EasyRMS has been the leading provider of Internet Revenue & Yield Management Solutions and independent Consultancy Services worldwide.

Macy Marvel is Professor of Tourism and Economics at Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne, Switzerland.
Prof. Macy Marvel has been teaching at Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne for 14 years. The institute is the oldest hotel school in the world, globally recognized as the best one, too, along with the School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University, US.
Economist by education, with a solid experience in finances and banking, Prof. Marvel teaches courses both in tourism and economics.
He has authored a state-funded research project concerning brand affiliation criteria for Swiss hotels, several academic articles, as well as numerous tourism and hospitality studies and bank investment publications.
Prof. Marvel has also gained popularity with dozens of studies and articles for Travel & Tourism Intelligence/Mintel (London). Most of them discuss the development of the hospitality industry within the Swiss and the foreign markets, as well as the development of entire tourism and air services markets.
As a lecturer in hospitality and tourism Prof. Marvel has a lot of experience acquired at a number of meetings, forums and conferences in Switzerland and Europe, including the annual meetings of the hotel associations of Italy, Spain and Ireland and events which are important for international business, such as the International Hotel Investment Forum in Berlin, the annual conventions of the European Tour Operators Association (ETOA), etc.
In 2008, Prof. Marvel was moderator of a panel dedicated to budget hotels at the biggest tourist fair in Europe, ITB in Berlin.
